President William Ruto has unveiled a raft of appointments to public universities, state corporations, and regulatory boards in the latest round of changes within government.
In the education sector, Rita Kavashe has been appointed Chancellor of Pwani University, while Paul Russo will serve as Chancellor of Kibabii University. Kevit Desai has been named Chancellor of University of Kabianga.
At the technical training level, Cornelius Kibet has been appointed to the council of Kipsoen National Polytechnic, while Njenga Benjamin Kahura will serve as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kabete National Polytechnic Council.
In state agencies, Geoffrey K. Maritim has been appointed Non-Executive Chairperson of the National Employment Authority Board. Nayianoi Ntutu joins the board of the Information and Communications Technology Authority, while Mwangi J. Nderitu has been appointed to the board of the Communications Authority of Kenya.
Further appointments include Yvonne Nalokitoo Tonkei, Wesley Kipchumba Keitany, and Ebla Haji Aden to the Women Enterprise Fund Advisory Board. Beatrice Mwarania Mburugu and Saphina Chelagat have been appointed to the Anti-Female Genital Mutilation Board, while Lucy Mirigo Micheni joins the Mineral Rights Board.
In additional changes, Anthony Wainaina has been reappointed to the board of the Special Economic Zones Authority, and Teresa Bitutu Oroo, Willis Omondi Orowe, and Hellen Makone have been reappointed as board members of the Lake Basin Development Authority.
The appointments reflect the administration’s continued efforts to strengthen governance and leadership across key public institutions.
