A pick-up driver lost his life in a fatal road accident near the Makutano Ma Mwala Junction along the Machakos-Kitui road.
Confirming the incident, Mwala Sub-county Police Commander Fredrick Satur said the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the rear of a tractor, dying on the spot.
A passenger in the pick-up and a pedestrian walking along the road sustained injuries during the crash.
The injured were rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for treatment, while the driver’s body was taken to the facility’s morgue.
