The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development has praised President William Ruto's administration for what she described as its sustained commitment to accelerating development in the Ukambani region through infrastructure projects and expanded public investment.

Speaking during the commissioning of the Kwa Mangenzi Water Kiosk Project under the government-funded Kituu Matuu Last Mile Water Project, the PS said the administration has demonstrated goodwill towards the region by improving infrastructure, expanding development programmes and creating employment opportunities for local residents.

She cited the appointment of Regina Ndambuki as Chairperson of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency as evidence of the government's recognition of leaders from the region, saying the move reflects its commitment to inclusive leadership and regional representation.

According to the PS, the people of Ukambani appreciate the government's development agenda, which she said is already transforming livelihoods across the region.

She noted that the newly commissioned water project has the capacity to supply clean and safe water to at least 300 households, easing the burden of water scarcity that has long affected residents.

The project is also expected to support irrigation farming, increase agricultural productivity and strengthen food security in the predominantly arid area by providing a reliable source of water for both domestic and farming needs.

The PS reaffirmed the government's commitment to expanding access to essential services and fast-tracking infrastructure projects aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of communities across Ukambani.

She further urged residents to continue supporting President Ruto's administration, saying such support would encourage the government to sustain its development agenda and deliver more transformative projects in the region.
