Kilome Member of Parliament Hon. Eng. Thaddeus Nzambia has assured constituents that major development funds for the region were fully secured—way before some political leaders made visits to State House yesterday.
Nzambia revealed that Ksh 3.5 billion had been allocated for the ambitious Konza Technopolis project, while Ksh 1.8 billion is earmarked for the Thwake Dam, both in the 2025/2026 national budget.
“We had already locked in Ksh 3.5 billion for Konza and Ksh 1.8 billion for Thwake. These allocations are guaranteed—State House visits couldn't change a thing,” Nzambia declared. “This money must be remitted. Conditions have been sealed.”
The MP downplayed yesterday's State House visit branding it as political posturing with no real benefit to Kilome residents.
“I never attended. The visit was just about politics, not development,” he asserted. “It’s nothing more than a gimmick.”
Nzambia also addressed concerns about the Emali–Ukia Road, acknowledging that it was not included in the current budget. However, he noted that funding could still be secured through the Fuel Levy Fund.
Reaffirming his focus on results over rhetoric, the legislator emphasized that his priority remains delivering meaningful development for the people of Kilome.
“Our people deserve progress, not political sideshows,” he concluded.
