UDA Organizing Secretary Vincent Musyoka has dismissed any plans to impeach Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, assuring that Kenya Kwanza–allied MPs would overwhelmingly defeat such a motion if presented in Parliament.
Speaking during the Bodaboda Empowerment Program in Matia Location, Kitui East, Musyoka dared the opposition to bring the motion forward, praising Duale for spearheading a bold crackdown on corruption within the Social Health Authority (SHA), Kenya’s new national health cover system.
His sentiments were echoed by Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda, who applauded the CS and the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for taking action against hospitals implicated in fraudulent practices.
Mutinda urged authorities not only to shut down such facilities but also to arrest and prosecute their owners, stressing that this would serve as a deterrent against corruption in the health sector.
At the same forum, Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai lauded the government’s bodaboda empowerment program as a timely boost for young operators nationwide.
He noted that the initiative would provide riders with the capital needed to expand their businesses and improve livelihoods, demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting hustlers at the grassroots.
Kitui South MP Rachel Kaki reinforced these views, welcoming President William Ruto’s directive to release all impounded bodabodas seized over petty offenses.
She said the directive would ease the economic burden for thousands of riders who depend on motorcycles as their main source of income, with the empowerment program further strengthening these efforts.
The leaders collectively reaffirmed their support for the Kenya Kwanza administration, insisting that its health reforms and empowerment initiatives are designed to safeguard public resources while uplifting ordinary citizens.
