Residents of Mua area in Machakos County are now calling for enhanced security following growing concerns over suspected human trafficking activities in the area.
This comes after unconfirmed reports emerged that several foreign girls had allegedly been held captive in a house within the neighborhood.
The residents camped outside the house throughout the night, demanding that it be forcefully opened, claiming the girls were being detained inside.
However, when police officers arrived and broke into the house, they found nothing.
According to the locals, the house has frequently been occupied by foreigners who never interact with the community, raising suspicions of possible ongoing illegal activities.
Led by Felix Komu, the residents are urging security agencies to intensify patrols, expressing fears that the girls may have been moved during the night after news of the incident reached the public.
