Popular comedian and radio presenter Francis Munyao, popularly known as MCA Tricky, has officially announced his departure from Milele FM, ending a memorable six-year career at the Mediamax Network-owned radio station.

In a statement dated July 22, 2026, MCA Tricky confirmed that he had left the station after serving from June 2020 to June 2026, describing the decision as one of the most difficult he has had to make.

"Today, I officially close one of the most important chapters of my life," he said, adding that radio had never been just a job to him, but a calling.

The comedian revealed that his departure followed unsuccessful discussions with the station's management over his request for a short unpaid study leave to enable him pursue his academic goals. He said the two sides were unable to reach a mutual agreement, prompting him to step away from the station.

Despite his exit, MCA Tricky expressed gratitude to Mediamax Network Ltd for giving him the opportunity to serve millions of Kenyans through Milele FM. He also thanked the station's management, producers, technicians, co-presenters and colleagues for their support and teamwork throughout his tenure.

He paid special tribute to Milele FM listeners, saying they welcomed him into their homes, cars and workplaces, and stood by him throughout his journey on air.

"The love you have shown me has been the greatest reward, and I can never thank you enough," he said.

MCA Tricky noted that although one chapter of his life had come to an end, he remains optimistic about the future. He pledged to continue entertaining, inspiring, creating and serving his audience in even greater ways.

"This goodbye is not the end of my story—it is the beginning of a new chapter," he said.

His departure marks the end of an era for one of Milele FM's most recognizable voices, with many of his fans now awaiting news of his next professional move.
