The Principal Secretary for Public Health, together with senior health officials, has convened a high-level preparedness meeting bringing together directors and heads of divisions to assess Kenya’s readiness to respond to Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and other emerging public health threats.
The meeting focused on strengthening surveillance systems, improving coordination among health agencies, and enhancing rapid response mechanisms in the event of an outbreak.
Officials reiterated the government’s commitment to safeguarding public health through proactive preparedness, early detection, and timely intervention measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
