Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to spearheading development in the county, declaring that she will not be derailed by political noise and distractions.

Speaking at Malanzau Primary School in Ekalakala, Masinga Sub-county, Wavinya took a swipe at certain national leaders whom she accused of abandoning their oversight responsibilities and instead focusing on undermining her administration.

“It’s only a thief who sees others as thieves. Here in Machakos, we have water, good roads, and improved infrastructure. If you give me 10 years, we will achieve much more,” she said, defending her record in office.

Governor Wavinya emphasized that her administration operates within the confines of the law, with a firm focus on service delivery to the people of Machakos.

“I consistently remind my officers to ensure that all operations and service delivery are done lawfully and in line with the Constitution,” she added.

In a rallying call to the Kamba community, Wavinya urged them to throw their full support behind Wiper party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in his 2027 presidential bid.

“Those mocking Kalonzo Musyoka should understand that he is not their equal. He is a respected national leader who has served this country with distinction and integrity,” she stated.

Wavinya’s remarks come amid growing political tension in the region, but she remains steadfast in her vision to transform Machakos into a model county through inclusive leadership and development-focused governance.
