ODM leaders have moved to reassure supporters that internal disagreements within the party remain manageable and will be resolved, even as they pressed the government to honour commitments made under the bipartisan framework.

Speaking during the ODM @20 thanksgiving ceremony held at Karisa Maitha Grounds in Kilifi Town, Deputy Party Leaders Abdulswamad Nassir, Simba Arati and Godfrey Osotsi led a strong delegation of elected leaders in reaffirming the party’s unity and focus.

Osotsi, who also serves as the Vihiga Senator, emphasized that the ten-point agenda agreed upon between ODM and the Kenya Kwanza administration must be fully implemented ahead of the March 2026 deadline. He further called on the government to release the KSh12 billion owed to political parties, warning that failure to do so threatens the country’s multiparty democracy.

Party chairlady and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, alongside Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro and Mombasa Governor Nassir, acknowledged existing internal disputes but insisted they were “in-house issues” that would be ironed out soon.

Mung’aro expressed confidence that ODM candidate Harrison Kombe would clinch a decisive victory in the upcoming November 27 Magarini by-election.

The event drew a significant lineup of leaders, including MPs Amina Mnyazi (Malindi), Mishi Mboko (Likoni), Paul Katana (Kaloleni), Ken Chonga (Kilifi South), and Beatrice Elachi (Dagoretti North), alongside Senators Stewart Madzayo (Kilifi), Juma Boy (Kwale) and Kilifi Woman Representative Gertrude Mbeyu.
